Editorial Policy
Nepgadgets exists to give Nepali buyers information they can act on. That only works if the information is independent and verifiable — so here, in the open, is how we work.
Independent — no paid placements
No brand, distributor or retailer can pay Nepgadgets for coverage, a better ranking, a higher comparison result or a friendlier write-up. Products are listed because they are sold in Nepal, ordered by data — price, specifications, category — never by sponsorship. We don't sell the products we list, and commercial relationships never change a price, a spec or a conclusion on this site.
Specifications are sourced, never invented
Every specification we publish is traced to a reference source: the manufacturer's official specification, or an established spec database of GSMArena's class. If a specification cannot be verified for a model, we leave it blank rather than estimate it. A missing spec is honest; an invented one is not, and it would poison every comparison built on it.
AI-assisted research, human review
We use AI tools to help gather, organise and check large amounts of product data — that is how a small team can track hundreds of gadgets. But nothing the AI produces is published on its own: prices and specifications are always traced back to a recorded source, and content is reviewed by a human before it goes live. Where AI assistance is used, the standard is the same as for anything we publish: it has to be verifiable.
Hands-on means hands-on
We only describe hands-on experience — how a phone feels, how a camera performs in our testing — when we have actually used the device. Coverage based on specifications, launch material and reported information is written as exactly that, and never dressed up as a review of a product we haven't touched.
Corrections
Mistakes happen: a price moves, a variant is mislabelled, a specification is wrong for a regional model. When we get something wrong we fix it — the listing is corrected, and the product's price history keeps the record of what changed. Readers can report an error any time via our contact page; reported prices and specs are re-checked against their source and corrected if the report is right.
